A quiet and contemplative scene- indicative of Lydia's best Hunt Country work. Depicting a horse and riding arriving home. Surely the phrase "well done, good and faithful servant." will await him?

A still scene with the dappling of the Virginia sunshine and the soft summery haze- this scene is a slightly altered depiction of the walk to the main house at Oak Spring Foundation in Upperville, Virginia. As always Lydia's work has been subtly inspired by a favorite John Singer Sargent work.

Each original painted has been painted on 140 lb French watercolor paper with a variety of high quality pigments that show off the brilliant color of each bloom.
