Hunt Country Black and White Sketches
These black and white sketches of my Hunt Country muses are honest. You can feel the movement of my eyes to the subject and back again as my hand makes little motions, big motions. A glance up, a judgement, a movement of the wrist, pigment moves on the paper as my eyes shift searching to impart the right distance of negative space, a slow drag of the brush against the paper.
Painting is silent work if you're listening.

Black and white studies are the precursor to the final full color Hunt Country pieces to come. Some compositions wind up full scale pieces in watercolor and oil; and other, feel just right in this black and white ink on paper.
These pieces are effortlessly chic and will be forever elegant statements where ever they are hung. And everyone at LME always recommends a gold frame.


ORIGINAL ARTWORK: 
Each original painting has been painted on 140 lb French watercolor paper with a variety of high quality pigments that show off the brilliant color of each location. The paper and the pigment come together to give a truly unique artwork. There is only one of each.
