“What is Home?” It isn’t a subject our modern culture has given us a scripted response for.
The answer to this question often takes my conversational partner aback; perhaps searching for words that have been given them on the matter and realizing they haven’t been given any. One person was was quick and confident; “Where all my stuff is!” only to hear it hanging in the air and doubt it.
Surely home is something so much more. We all have a sense of it; a longing for it. Could it be that we have been given an innate craving for it, built into the very fibre of our souls?

I hope my artwork causes you to pause, contemplate, and inspires you to joy and hope.
I hope you know you are so deeply loved and appreciated.

Original Artwork

Original art is the most valuable; the most sought after; the most desired. At our worst, we have stolen, betrayed, and killed for it. At our best, we have humbly cried before it-and it’s changed our hearts and lives and world view and perspective for the better.

In creating, the artist is imparting herself onto the paper. An artist’s hand in creating the work of art mimics our ultimate creator. In owning the original you’re owning a glimpse of the alpha. Lydia’s artwork is created on French watercolor paper with a variety of high quality pigments and brushes that are all collected in striving to imbue her paintings with a sense of the meaning that sits just beyond our gaze.
