Part II of AD Home Show featuring Diffa Dinging By Design: Mark D. Sikes

by Lydia Marie Elizabeth in

Well folks, after a busy long week in New York City at the Architectural Digest Home Show, I am now back in Philadelphia and only somewhat cured of my forever wish to live in the large city.
I think I would have been totally cured had we not been staying with some friends in the adorable West Village area.  But it's just so cute down there.
Anyway! In case you missed my first post featuring Kravet fabrics designed by Kate Spade as part of the DIFFA Dining by Design exhibits, you can read it here.  (The chairs wore dresses.)

I was hardly surprised that Mark D. Sikes was one of my favorite exhibitors. When I heard he was showcasing at this event, I knew he would wind up being one of my favorites.
Always crushin' it with classy taste and a flare for stripes and blue and white.

Check back tomorrow for the third and last installment of this series! It's my very favorite one of all!

AD Home Show Featuring DIFFA Dining by Design

by Lydia Marie Elizabeth

Hello from New York City!!

My husband and I traveled up this morning to see the opening day of the Architectural Digest Home Show! It’s probably my favorite Interior Design event of the year. Today is open to the trade only, so you’re getting an EXCLUSIVE peak into the show before the public is allowed in tomorrow.

This is my third time attending the show and I must say it is as exciting as ever.  My favorite part of each show is always the DIFFA Dining by Design Exhibit.  Each year select designers showcase their creativity by curating elaborate tablescapes for Cocktails by Design and Dining by Design.  During these private events, guests purchase tickets to the event or a seat from a designer at their table to enjoy some of New York’s top cuisine in immaculately conceived spaces all to benefit DIFFA.  Each designer has a portion of the space to showcase their dining design which are always far from simply tables and chairs.  Each one is so impressive, beautiful, and totally different.
So! In case you still won’t be making it through to see this endless tablescape inspiration exhibit, I’ve sketched some of my favorite scenes for you!

Tonight! Is Kravet by Kate Spade!!

the chairs! Wore dresses!!! How adorable is that?!? Once again, Kate Spade does an amazing job!
