Fashion Week's Best Runway Designs: Polo Ralph Lauren f/w 16

by Lydia Marie Elizabeth

In case you missed yesterday and have no idea what we're talking about here.
...and just in case you live under a rock and don't know NYFW occurred this past week....

Here is the second of four Runway Designs I will be showcasing from New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016.  They are all brilliant.

Polo Ralph Lauren

Pretty much everyone heralds Ralph Lauren for his ability to imprint his luxurious American brandness into everything he does; from his blazers and stripes to the intricate trim in his home collection.  He makes foreigners want to be American and Americans want to be Ralph-Lauren-Americans.  I’m not particularly a horse person, but I want a horse and riding boots after I leave his shops. Seriously, the man is genius.
His Polo collection was showcased with a classic Ralph Lauren Homey perspective; with comfy Country Manor furnishings, sophisticated city dwelling neutral chicness, and by reproducing the Polo Bar aesthetic.  The different scenes created allowed you to see more vividly how one brand can translate and resonate with many different people and personalities.
Did I mention the Red Irish Setter??? that was with the models hammin' it up?? So cute. I want a Red Irish Setter.

Well done, Ralphy.  You’re still at the top of your game.

I'm a sucker for all things Ralph Lauren, as I said with the whole wanting a horse thing. And while I loved everything in the line, I was not so much digging the long hair on all the men. I tend to like more classic hairstyles on men... so I'm going to say that the Red Irish Setter was my favorite look from Polo's runway.  I need to get a Setter....
